Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Manager to join our team at Swansea Bay University Health Board. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operational and performance issues within the designated area of responsibility.
Main Duties of the Job
- Report key performance indicators for the specialty area.
- Support in the delivery of single cancer pathway.
- Seek better and innovative ways to manage and deliver services more efficiently and effectively, supporting service modernisation.
- Ensure junior staff rotas are functional.
- Day-to-day management of staff within the area of responsibility.

Person Specification
Qualifications
- Recognised management qualification.
- Educated to masters level or equivalent experience.
Knowledge and Experience
- Supervisory experience.
- Proven experience of operational delivery.
- Knowledge of RTT and SCP.
- Experience of managing a department/group of staff.
Skills
- Communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage, motivate and develop team working.
- Ability to manage under pressure and multi-task to achieve objectives.
