About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Device Specialist to join our team at Swansea Bay University Health Board. As a Medical Device Specialist, you will be responsible for providing a maintenance, repair and support service for a wide range of renal devices.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a maintenance, repair and support service for a wide range of renal devices
- Responsible for planning their own assigned work and, together with the line manager, prioritise non-routine breakdown requests
- Responsible for dealing with emergencies arising with equipment
- Perform commissioning and acceptance tests on newly purchased and loan equipment
- Participate in and contribute to the Quality Management System
Requirements
- Meets minimum relevant qualification/knowledge of medical device management/quality
- Experience in repair or maintenance of equipment/organising repair or maintenance/IT systems experience
- Has made an effort to gain a basic understanding of some key elements of the JD/PS
- Can articulate a basic understanding of value of safety and quality as a minimum
- Able to demonstrate via the application form and at interview the ability to communicate effectively verbally and by the written word
