Clinical Technologist: Medical Equipment Specialist

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, and calibration of medical devices across various departments at Morriston Hospital. This includes service checks, planned preventative maintenance (PPM) checks, safety checks, and calibration of equipment such as infusion devices, cardiac monitors, temperature measuring devices, and medical gas appliances.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Plan and organize PPM activity on a wide range of medical equipment.
  2. Carry out servicing and repairs of complex medical equipment, including defibrillators, multi-parameter monitoring equipment, and endoscopic equipment.
  3. Perform PPM responsibilities on medical equipment, including data entry and accuracy for all records.
  4. Provide senior management with advice on the upgrading and replacement of medical gas equipment and general electrical medical equipment.
