About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Radiotherapy Physics Technologist/Dosimetrist to join our team in the Radiotherapy Physics Service at Swansea Bay University Health Board. The successful candidate will provide support for quality control of treatment machines and associated equipment in our centre.

Main Responsibilities

  • Perform routine tests on equipment in the department, ensuring that quality control records and local procedures are kept up-to-date.
  • Assist with equipment management and work closely with clinical scientists and engineers to maintain the treatment machines.
  • Participate in scientific projects and research, applying practical experience in physical or biological sciences.

Requirements

  • Relevant Degree/HND in an appropriate subject (or equivalent experience).
  • Good written and oral communication skills, with manual and mental dexterity to perform practical tasks with a high degree of accuracy and precision.
  • Ability to manage own time and prioritise tasks, with a commitment to improving services.
