Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing HSE activities to monitor the safe effective operations of the plant covering all shifts. This is a static role where you will be responsible for managing HSE activities to monitor the safe effective operations of the plant covering all shifts.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. HSE Management System: Manage the HSE management system to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and company policies.
  2. Risk Assessments: Develop and conduct/assess risk assessments and works instructions to identify potential hazards and prevent accidents.
  3. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the company is aware of statutory obligations and recommended codes of practice to avoid non-compliance penalties.
  4. Training and Development: Identify health and safety training needs and advise on suitable training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  5. Accident Investigations: Oversee and review all accident investigations and prepare statistics to assist in monitoring health and safety performance.

Your Background and Qualifications

  • Degree/Diploma/ IOSH Working Managing Safely Certificate or equivalent in related field.
  • 4 - 5 years of health and safety experience.
  • Experience in project implementation with HSE expertise and support projects (ideally within Oil & Gas or Heavy Engineering).
  • Professional certification in recognized HSE and must registered Safety & Health with NOSH HSE
  • Having thorough knowledge of the Safety & Environmental Management System (ISO 18001, ISO 45001 & ISO 14001)
  • Possess a Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card (desirable)
  • Able to work on shifts.
  • Possesses interpersonal skills that encourages openness and trust both internally and externally

Salary and Benefits

£45,000 per annum, plus benefits.

This salary reflects the level of experience and qualifications required for this position.
