About the Role

Xenon Recruitment is seeking an experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for assisting the site-based Senior Quantity Surveyor in managing projects from £10-£150 million.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the site-based Senior Quantity Surveyor in managing project costs and schedules.
  • Travel to sites across Kent and work closely with the site team to ensure project deliverables are met.
  • Prepare detailed cost budget plans and maintain schedules of quantities and prices.
  • Deal with valuations and payment notices, and provide estimates of all costs including sub-contractors and materials.
Requirements
  • Experience working with NEC forms of contract, although not essential.
  • Ability to travel to sites across Kent.
  • Desirable experience in commercial, education, and healthcare sectors.
  • Degree/HND qualification in quantity surveying, commercial management, or construction.
  • Excellent understanding of Excel and strong planning and organization skills.
  • Good negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Self-motivated and highly numerate, with evidence of maintaining a professional, consistent, and fair approach.
