About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join our team in Newport, South Wales. As a Payroll Officer, you will play a vital role in running a diverse client payroll portfolio and assisting the Payroll Manager in their day-to-day tasks. This is a fantastic opportunity to take your payroll expertise to the next level and become a key member of our Business Services team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage weekly, fortnightly, four-weekly, and monthly payrolls for clients with 1 to 150 employees using Sage Payroll.
  • Ensure timely submission of all HMRC returns and upload pension data to relevant pension providers.
  • Respond to client payroll queries in a prompt and professional manner.
  • Provide holiday cover for the Payroll Manager as required.
What We're Looking For
  • At least 3+ years of experience in Accountancy Practice Payroll.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processes, compliance, and software (Sage Payroll experience preferred).
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple payrolls efficiently.
