About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Deputy Store Manager to join our team at Pets at Home Group Plc. As a vital member of the store management team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the store in the absence of the Store Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take full responsibility for the store in the absence of the Store Manager
  • Involved in everything related to the store's running, including recruitment, stock control, and store standards
  • Lead from the front with a hands-on approach, inspiring your team to maximise sales and performance across all primary KPIs
  • Empower your team to deliver excellent customer service, reflecting our goal of being the 'Best Pet Care Business in the World'

Requirements

  • Experience in working within the retail sector with a minimum of 1 year's management experience
  • Flexible and able to work a varied shift pattern across 7 days a week
  • Passionate for retail and a proven track record of delivering high standards and great results
  • A team player with excellent communication skills to engage and inspire your team
  • Ready to take on 6 months of industry-leading training covering all key aspects of the role
