About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Building Surveyor to join our team at PropertyWeek4Jobs. As a key member of our Property Team, you will play a vital role in managing our commercial property portfolio and providing expert advice to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support to the Property Team in the day-to-day management of the portfolio and tenants, including occupied and void properties.
  • Conduct routine inspections of properties to confirm their current status and condition.
  • Assist with acquisition due diligence and provide opinions on building condition.
  • Advise on current and emerging legislative and regulatory requirements within the built environment sphere.
  • Take a proactive approach to identifying and resolving property issues.
  • Act as Principal Designer/Contract Administrator where appropriate.
  • Carry out Insurance Reinstatement Cost valuations for the portfolio and present budget figures for programmes of works.
  • Present opportunities for development and improvement of the portfolio to the Board of Directors, having a strong grasp of the business and economic case for a project alongside its technical aspects.
Requirements
  • MRICS/FRICS or equivalent qualification.
  • Proven experience in commercial property management and surveying.
  • Strong knowledge of building regulations and legislation.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
