Pension Trustee Opportunity

IGA Talent Solutions is currently supporting a long-standing client in a search to hire a Professional Trustee to join their team in Manchester.

The role offers a generous starting package of up to £100k base salary, plus bonus and benefits.
Manchester, with hybrid working, 3 days a week in the office.
Full time.

As a Professional Trustee, you will be responsible for helping Defined Benefit (final salary) and Defined Contribution (money purchase) pension schemes in the UK make decisions, meet regulatory requirements, and ultimately deliver a secure financial future to their members.

This is a unique opportunity for a talented mid-career individual looking to move into independent professional pension trusteeship. Our client is looking to enhance their existing trustee team with new colleagues who will expand the skills and diversity of the team and bring a fresh perspective.

Career progression to full trustee director would be expected to take three to six years depending on individual circumstances.

The marketplace is evolving too, with new professional trustee qualifications/accreditations, different services and offerings (sole-trustee, outsourced pensions management), and a gradual change in the makeup of the workforce.

Our client specialises in providing appointable trustees, with the right expertise and experience, to successfully run pension schemes for some of the UK's largest employers.

The team is made up of former investment professionals, actuaries, lawyers, accountants, pension managers, and corporate financiers, who combine to share knowledge to deliver better outcomes.

We are looking for an individual with at least 10 years in a pension and/or investment-related role. You will have strong interpersonal skills and commercial experience and an ability to develop new relationships and win the trust of sponsors and trustee boards.
