Job Role: Respiratory Support Worker

This role is part of the Respiratory team and involves working closely with patients, relatives, carers and other care providers.

About the Role:

As a Respiratory Support Worker, you will be working as part of a multidisciplinary team based in Helston, covering the West area of Cornwall. The team primarily looks after patients with chronic lung disease and breathlessness.

Main Duties:
  • Work independently managing a caseload of patients.
  • Implement agreed management/care plans for complex patients under the direct supervision of specialist clinicians.
  • Undertake highly skilled support work for Respiratory patients in the community.
  • Use clinical skills, including blood pressure and pulse checks, and basic clinical assessment skills to support the delivery of care.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working as a Support Worker in a health or similar setting.
  • Relevant experience in an appropriate care setting.
  • Experience of working in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Good general education to GCSE level or equivalent.
