We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Building Control Surveyor to join our team on a 3-month contract with the possibility of further extension. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building control and be able to work independently on a diverse range of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review plans for construction projects to ensure compliance with building regulations.
  • Conduct on-site inspections to verify compliance with building regulations.
  • Provide expert advice on building control matters through various channels.
  • Participate in the out-of-hours dangerous structures rota.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections and correspondence.
  • Support the training of Trainee and Assistant Surveyors.
  • Assist the Principal Surveyor and Head of Building Control with additional team duties.

Requirements:

  • Degree in construction or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum of seven years' experience in Building Control.

  • Are you familiar with the Building Safety Act and its impact on the construction industry?
