Job Title: Building Surveying Department Head

We are seeking a skilled Building Surveyor Leader to spearhead our Building Surveying Department.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic leader to establish and grow our Building Surveying Department. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for devising strategic plans, recruiting team members, and establishing operational frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Department Leadership: Develop and lead the Building Surveying Department, setting the strategic direction and overseeing operational activities.
  • Collaboration: Work with Project Managers, Cost Consultants, Interior Designers, and Development Managers to deliver integrated solutions across sectors.
  • Project Oversight: Oversee and manage building surveying projects from inception to completion, ensuring client requirements, budgets, and timelines are met.
  • Compliance & Governance: Ensure all surveying activities comply with industry standards, regulations, and quality assurance protocols.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Chartered status (MRICS) or equivalent
  • Extensive experience in building surveying
  • In-depth knowledge of the hospitality, commercial, residential, and education sectors
  • Proven experience leading a team or department
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Salary Information

The estimated annual salary for this position is around £70,000 - £90,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
