Training Programme Director - Teaching Lead Anaesthesia

The NHS is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the role of Training Programme Director - Teaching Lead Anaesthesia. This position will play a crucial role in delivering excellence in teaching and training courses for the North West (Manchester) Rotation.

The successful candidate will lead on the development of the School's Teaching Programme, ensuring that high-quality teaching and training courses are available for trainees. They will also be responsible for collating and acting on feedback from courses, and will be a member of the School Speciality Training Committee.

Main Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Head of School of Anaesthesia and local trainers and trainees to ensure high-quality teaching and training for trainees on the North West (Manchester) rotation.
  • Work with the Head of School of Anaesthesia to support trainers and trainees leading teaching and training courses on the North West (Manchester) rotation, arranging and reviewing feedback for courses and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Support the Head of School to ensure that high-quality teaching and training courses are available for trainees to support their postgraduate training.
  • Create and promote shared learning opportunities to increase effective inter-professional working across the school.
  • Hold a relevant education qualification, such as a Postgraduate Certificate, Diploma, or Masters in Medical Education.
  • Be trained and experienced in recruitment, selection, and equality and diversity, with training in the last 3 years.
  • Have experience in recruitment at a national level.
  • possess excellent organisational and time management skills.
