London, Greater London, United Kingdom Simon Fraser University Full time

Simon Fraser University is a leading research institution committed to advancing an inclusive and sustainable future. Our purpose is to create and connect knowledge, learning, and community for deeper understanding and meaningful impact. We are dedicated to fostering excellence, innovation, belonging, and community in all that we do.

In the School of Medicine, we are shaping the future of healthcare through innovative education, groundbreaking research, and community engagement. As we redefine medical education, we are seeking passionate individuals who are eager to contribute to our mission.

We envision a medical education system where students and residents learn as part of a team in primary care, community-level settings, and patient-centered environments. Our curriculum considers social, environmental, and prevention contexts while advancing reconciliation by embedding and equalizing Indigenous knowledge systems in our learning, research, and practices.

As we establish the School of Medicine in Surrey, we will foster our growing relationships with the local community, Fraser Health Authority, First Nations Health Authority, physicians, and Indigenous partners to meet the diverse health needs of the communities we serve.

SFU is seeking an expert leader in technology solutions to join the School of Medicine and lead the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of integrated technology solutions. In this role, the Director of Medical Education Technology will lead the Education Solutions and Medical Technology Solutions teams to ensure the School's administration, learning, instruction, and research functions have leading-edge technology solutions to support medical education training.

The ideal candidate will have excellent project management skills and a proven track record of successfully implementing systems, applications, and technology solutions in a medical education environment. A Master's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Education Technology, Learning Experience Design, or equivalent, and 8 years of leadership experience in educational technology are required.

Key skills include software development and management, business analysis, IT project management, and IT system architecture. The successful candidate will also have experience in leading TS services, strategic planning, and stakeholder collaboration, as well as in-depth knowledge of digital health solutions and their application in educational and research environments.

We offer a hybrid-work program, employer-paid defined benefit pension plan, on-campus tuition waiver for employees and their immediate family members, and off-campus tuition reimbursements and professional development funds. SFU is an equity employer and encourages applications from all qualified individuals.
