Teaching Personnel SEN Primary Teacher Role
We are committed to supporting students with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and complex needs. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with teaching assistants and other professionals to ensure a well-rounded approach to student development and progress.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver imaginative and personalized lessons tailored to the diverse needs and capabilities of students with complex requirements.
- Employ effective teaching methodologies, such as visual aids, sensory exercises, and adaptive technologies, to enrich the learning journey.
- Cultivate a nurturing and supportive classroom ambiance that fosters emotional well-being and self-assurance in every student.
- Develop and maintain personalized learning plans (EHCPs) and regularly monitor student advancement, adjusting teaching strategies as necessary.
Requirements:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Demonstrated experience working with students with complex needs.
- Profound comprehension of various complex needs, including ASC, sensory processing disorders, communication challenges, and learning disabilities.
- Flexibility and patience to address the individual needs of each student and tailor a personalized learning path.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external entities.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) for working with children.
