Dedicated SEN Teacher Required

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate SEN teacher to join our team at a vibrant and inclusive school in Manchester. As an SEN teacher, you will be responsible for creating and delivering personalized lessons tailored to the unique needs and abilities of students with complex requirements.

The ideal candidate will possess a profound understanding of various complex needs, including ASC, sensory processing disorders, communication challenges, and learning disabilities. They will also demonstrate flexibility and patience in addressing the individual needs of each student and tailoring a personalized learning path.

The successful applicant will work closely with teaching assistants and other professionals to ensure a well-rounded approach to student development and progress. This will involve devising personalized learning plans and regularly monitoring student advancement, adjusting teaching strategies as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver imaginative and personalized lessons to students with complex needs.
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants and other professionals to ensure a well-rounded approach to student development and progress.
  • Devise personalized learning plans and regularly monitor student advancement.
  • Cultivate a nurturing and supportive classroom environment that promotes emotional well-being and self-assurance in every student.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Demonstrated experience working with students with complex needs.
  • Profound comprehension of various complex needs, including ASC, sensory processing disorders, communication challenges, and learning disabilities.
  • Flexibility and patience to address the individual needs of each student and tailor a personalized learning path.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external entities.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) for working with children.
