Location: Primarily in Kentucky

Job Summary:

The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) plays a vital role in facilitating patient flow in the clinic by ensuring an accurate and complete medical record for each patient.

They assist the Medical Provider by recording details into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and facilitate timely return on any test(s) the Medical Provider has ordered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Obtain patient vitals and reason for visit
  • Provide patient care in the clinic setting under the guidance of the provider
  • Accurately document medical visits and procedures as they are performed by the surgeons and family practice providers at bedside
  • Prepare referral letters as directed by the physician
  • Spot mistakes or inconsistencies in medical documentation and correct the information to reduce errors
  • Ensure accurate recording of clinical data, lab or other test results, and their interpretation by the physician in the medical record
  • Assist in developing and maintaining systems to track patient follow-up and compliance

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • CMA certification
  • BLS certification

Compensation: The estimated salary for this position is between $40,000 and $60,000 per year, depending on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
