The Transformation Unit is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented General Administrator to join our team in the Haematology Department. As a key member of our administrative team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the department, ensuring seamless communication between patients, clinicians, and administrative staff.
Main Responsibilities- Waiting List Management: Ensure timely and accurate management of patient waiting lists, coordinating admissions and bookings using hospital IT systems.
- Patient Communication: Act as the first point of contact for patients, responding to inquiries and providing non-clinical advice regarding hospital admission.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient information, ensuring compliance with Trust Access Policy and Procedures.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with clinicians, nursing staff, and administrative colleagues to ensure effective communication and coordination of patient care.
- GCSE Level or Equivalent: In Maths and English
- Experience with Hospital Systems: Familiarity with MEDWAY NOTIS, Medical Office, and Bookwise
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize workload, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
