Job Description

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as Chair of Trustees. As a key member of our governance team, you will play a vital role in shaping the strategic direction of our organization and ensuring the delivery of our mission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and guidance to the Board of Trustees, ensuring effective decision-making and governance.
  • Work closely with our CEO to develop and implement strategic plans, aligning with our mission and values.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local and national education providers, funders, and local authorities.
  • Ensure the Trust remains committed to its mission of providing excellent education to learners from disadvantaged backgrounds.
  • Collaborate with our governance team to ensure the effective management of the Trust's finances and resources.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in governance, financial planning, and education.
  • Strong financial literacy and ability to make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a focus on achieving shared goals.
  • Commitment to the Trust's mission and values, with a passion for delivering excellent education to learners from disadvantaged backgrounds.
