About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to serve as the Chair of our Board of Trustees. As our Chair, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to our organization, ensuring that we achieve our goals and objectives. You will work closely with our CEO and other senior leaders to develop and implement our strategic plan, and will be responsible for ensuring that our organization is governed in accordance with best practices and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to the organization
- Work closely with the CEO and other senior leaders to develop and implement the strategic plan
- Ensure that the organization is governed in accordance with best practices and regulatory requirements
- Represent the organization at external events and meetings
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, funders, and community partners
Desirable Skills and Experience:
- Proven track record of leadership and governance experience
- Strong understanding of charitable governance and compliance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
- Experience in the nonprofit sector, preferably in a senior leadership role
