About the Role

The Marine Stewardship Council is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our Board of Trustees as Chair. As Chair, you will play a critical role in shaping the strategic direction of the organization and ensuring the continued success of our mission to promote sustainable fishing practices and protect the world's oceans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and guidance to the Board of Trustees
  • Work closely with the CEO and senior management team to develop and implement the organization's strategic plan
  • Ensure the effective governance and oversight of the organization
  • Represent the Marine Stewardship Council at external events and meetings

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong track record of leadership and governance experience, as well as a deep understanding of the marine conservation sector. You will also need to be able to work effectively in a collaborative environment and communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely.
