Sensory Integration Therapist and Assistant Practitioner

Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant Practitioner to join our team at Ashworth Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality occupational therapy services to service users within our High Secure forensic environment. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills and expertise in sensory integration therapy and contribute to the growth and success of our Occupational Therapy Team.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Deliver sensory integration assessments and treatments to service users
- Plan and deliver individual and group activities that promote independence and well-being
- Develop and implement individualized programs of care that meet the unique needs of service users
- Collaborate with other Occupational Therapy staff to ensure seamless delivery of services

Requirements and Qualifications:
- Health and Social Care NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification
- Previous experience working in healthcare, particularly in a secure setting
- Strong knowledge of Health Promotion strategies and clinical governance principles
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and maintain confidentiality
