Functional Skills Educator

Medsolve is proud to partner with an organisation dedicated to providing a high-quality educational experience for students with autism. We are seeking a skilled College Tutor Functional Skills to deliver a tailored curriculum that maximises students' potential for future life and work.

This is a permanent role, working term-time only, 32.5 hours per week. We offer a competitive salary of £25-£35 per hour. Please note that we do not offer sponsorship.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to participate in our intensive 2-week induction programme, followed by continuous training and development. Our company offers a range of benefits, including a company pension scheme, life assurance, meals provided on shift, and a company sick pay scheme up to 3 months' full pay.

The duties of the College Tutor include:

  • Participating in the coordination of all aspects of the college's daily running
  • Ensuring the curriculum delivery and content are differentiated and autism-specific
  • Developing an effective working knowledge of the Individual Learning Plan
  • Monitoring and developing the curriculum through regular assessment and evaluation
  • Ensuring Literacy, Numeracy, and ICT are effectively embedded throughout the curriculum area
  • Creating, sharing, and monitoring learner targets
  • Providing subject reports detailing student progress and achievements
  • Delivering high-quality Numeracy sessions from pre-entry to Level 2
  • Participating in the recruitment and assessment of students
  • Liaising with partner schools, FE colleges, employers, and outside agencies
