Job Opportunity: College Tutor Functional Skills

Medsolve is proud to partner with an exceptional organization seeking a dedicated College Tutor Functional Skills to deliver a high-quality, autism-specific educational experience. This role is designed to enable students to maximize their potential for future life wellbeing and work.

This is a permanent position, working term-time only, 32.5 hours per week. We offer a competitive salary of £25-£35 per hour. Please note that we do not offer sponsorship.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in and contribute to the coordination of all aspects of the smooth daily running of the college.
  • Ensure that the curriculum delivery and content are differentiated, autism-specific, and address the individual needs of learners.
  • Develop an effective working knowledge of the Individual Learning Plan and ensure it is used to inform planning of sessions.
  • Monitor and develop the curriculum through regular assessment and evaluation of students' learning.
  • Ensure that Literacy, Numeracy, and ICT are effectively embedded throughout the curriculum area where appropriate.
  • Create, share, and monitor appropriate learner targets in line with the Plan and learners' needs.
  • Provide subject reports detailing student progress and achievements for both internal reviews and external bodies.
  • Write reports for and attend student reviews.
  • Deliver planned, coordinated, and high-quality Numeracy sessions from pre-entry to Level 2.
  • Participate in the recruitment and assessment of students.
  • Assist with arrangements for the placement and assessment of students at work placement locations if required.
  • Liaise with partner schools, FE colleges, employers, and outside agencies/organizations.
  • Take part in marketing activities as required (e.g., Open Evenings).
