Job Overview

The successful candidate will have the expertise to manage and maintain a wide range of medical equipment, including complex and non-complex electrical medical devices. They will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment is properly serviced, calibrated, and repaired to ensure optimal performance and patient safety.

Main Responsibilities
  • Plan and organize Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) activity on a wide range of medical equipment
  • Carry out servicing and repairs of complex medical equipment, including defibrillators, multi-parameter monitoring equipment, and endoscopic equipment
  • Manage the ordering of stock associated with allocated medical equipment
  • Provide senior management with advice on the upgrading and replacement of medical equipment
  • Enter and maintain accurate records for technical servicing, repair, commissioning, calibration, and disposal of medical equipment

Person Specification
  • Essential criteria: qualifications in a relevant field, experience with repair, test, or calibration of devices, and a UK driving license
  • Desirable criteria: Welsh language skills, knowledge of ISO 9001 quality system
