Care Assistant for Adults with Acquired Brain Injuries

We are proud to offer specialized case management services for adults and children recovering from acquired brain injuries, spinal or catastrophic injuries, and associated disabilities or conditions.

A support worker is required for a gentleman in his late 60s living independently in the Penrith area. The gentleman has an acquired brain injury, and the successful applicant will be responsible for supporting the client and promoting independence with daily living tasks, including household chores, personal care, shopping, and regular community outings.

The ideal candidate will possess good communication skills, patience, problem-solving ability, and a sense of humor. They will be joining an experienced team and receive full training and regular supervision.

Key qualities and skills include:

  • Full, clean UK driving license with experience driving a wheelchair-accessible vehicle (desirable but not essential)
  • Experience delivering therapy programs (desirable, with full training provided)
  • Dependability, professionalism, and a commitment to honesty and discretion
  • Experience working with adults with physical and cognitive impairments, with a positive attitude and ability to motivate and engage
  • Previous experience working with clients with brain injuries (preferable)
  • Friendly and approachable demeanor
  • Flexibility and ability to work well under pressure
