Commercial Disputes Paralegal Opportunity

Taylor Root is partnering with a leading city-based law firm to find an experienced Paralegal to join their Commercial Disputes practice in London.

About the Firm

The law firm is a well-established full-service firm providing a range of commercial legal services to a diverse UK and international client base. They are recognized for their expertise in private client, disputes & class actions, corporate, and employment law.

About the Role

This position will be uniquely placed to service both the Commercial Disputes and Class Actions practice. The team regularly advises on complex disputes, in both claimant and defendant work. As a Paralegal, you will assist both departments in all areas of litigation, with a focus on managing multiple clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform administrative tasks, including filing, billing, and drafting correspondence.
  • Coordinate diaries, arrange meetings, and handle telephone inquiries.
  • Manage group claim inboxes and draft initial documents.
  • Analyze and input data, and write articles for internal or external distribution.
  • Organize case files, attend court sessions, transcribe legal opinions, and compile litigation bundles.
  • Prepare reports, conduct legal research, take witness statements, and participate in meetings with experts or relevant parties.
  • Maintain records and utilize IT systems to conduct searches.
  • Review disclosure documents using electronic platforms.

Requirements

The ideal candidate has prior experience working in a litigation team as a Paralegal (ideally 12 months). The firm is keen on progression, with Paralegals eligible for training contracts and has recently taken on a number of Trainees who were previously Paralegals.
