We are seeking a highly skilled Learning and Development Manager to join our team at the Gambling Commission. As a key member of our People Services team, you will play a critical role in developing and delivering a learning and development strategy that enhances organizational capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver a comprehensive learning and development strategy that aligns with business objectives.
  • Lead the design and delivery of learning solutions to meet both strategic and operational business needs.
  • Manage a centralized budget and ensure effective service delivery to deliver value for money.
  • Build strong relationships with senior leaders and key stakeholders across the organization to support learning and development initiatives.
  • Lead and motivate a learning and development team to provide professional, relevant, and effective solutions.
Requirements
  • Proven experience of designing and implementing a learning and development strategy.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, capable of motivating others and driving change.
  • Experience of managing a centralized budget and ensuring effective service delivery to deliver value for money.
  • Positive, motivational style, role modeling a growth and learning mindset.
  • Significant experience in the design and development of learning solutions to meet both strategic and operational business needs.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, capable of engaging with executive colleagues.
  • Highly organized and able to manage a broad portfolio of activities.
  • Confident working with data and possessing analytical skills allowing you to obtain insights from data.
  • Experience in using digital solutions to design and deliver effective development products and services.
  • Experience in the management of Apprenticeships and familiar with apprenticeship levy management.
  • Proven experience of leading and implementing change initiatives.
