Job Title: Third Party Personal Injury Claims Handler

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Third Party Personal Injury Claims Handler to join our team at Acorn Insurance & Financial Services LTD. As a Third Party Personal Injury Claims Handler, you will be responsible for proactively managing a portfolio of motor claims, predominantly Third Party Personal Injury Claims (Portal and Non Portal), as well as out of jurisdiction claims, Property Damage, Credit Hire, and Accident Damage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Validating all claims for indemnity and fraud
  • Providing proactive and correct assessment of liability
  • Accurate quantum assessment of claims presented using the relevant tools available to assist
  • Application of accurate reserves in line with company guidelines
  • Assisting with coaching and mentoring of less experienced handlers
  • Adherence to best practice and key strategies
  • Effective file and portfolio management

Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a culture of openness, trust, and respect
  • Strong organisation skills with the ability to prioritise tasks
  • Ability to fact find and analyse information to result in accurate decision making
  • Experience of handling injury claims outside of the Low Value Personal Injury Claims Portal
  • Knowledge of the civil procedure rules with regards to offers, acceptances, and litigation risks
