Senior Claims Handler

Spotlightjobs is seeking a highly skilled Senior Claims Handler to join our team of professionals. As a Senior Claims Handler, you will be responsible for handling a varied caseload of multi-track claims, including fatalities, mild brain, and serious orthopaedic injury claims.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively manage your own portfolio, maintaining excellent diary management and adhering to KPIs and SLAs.
- Review claims to ensure they are accurately reserved in line with best practice and refer those exceeding authority.
- Provide timely and accurate written reports and verbal presentations to the wider business and reinsurers.
- Utilize external suppliers to achieve the best outcome for the business with minimal claims spend.
- Participate in training and auditing of less experienced handlers.
- Maintain technical knowledge through training and seminars, providing feedback and training on identified issues.
- Assist in setting technical philosophy and business best practice, participating in projects as required.
Requirements:
- Persuasive, strong, and confident communicator with strong analytical skills.
- Ability to use initiative to explore options and achieve the best outcome for the business.
- Highly motivated self-starter with superior time management skills, capable of organizing and prioritizing work effectively.
- Excellent team player with a solid understanding of case law, statute, CPR, and Pre-Action Protocols.
- Always acts as a role model.
Essential Requirements:
- Multi-track Personal Injury claims experience.
