Occupational Health Safety Specialist

HRC Recruitment is looking for an Occupational Health Safety Specialist to join our team.
Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $105,000 per year
This role offers a unique chance to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to the development of health, safety, and environmental policies and programs.
The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting regular risk assessments and audits, developing and updating HSE policies and procedures, and leading initiatives to reduce the company's environmental footprint.
Key Responsibilities:
- Risk Management: Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify hazards, and implement corrective and preventative measures.
- Policy Development: Develop and update HSE policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Training and Development: Design and deliver training programs to educate employees on HSE best practices.
- Incident Investigation: Investigate accidents and incidents, and implement improvements.
- Sustainability: Lead initiatives to reduce the company's environmental footprint and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
- Communication: Work closely with management, employees, and external agencies to promote HSE initiatives.
- Reporting: Prepare regular reports on HSE performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, ISO 14001).
- Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and best practices.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
