Job Description

Recruit 12 is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Assurance Team Lead to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for leading a team of inspection personnel and ensuring the smooth workflow of the Inspection Department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and direct a team of inspection personnel to ensure the quality and efficiency of production processes.
  • Attend planning meetings and provide workflow direction to ensure seamless operations.
  • Train team members in interpreting engineering drawings for inspection purposes using advanced tools such as coordinate measuring machines (CMM) and gauges.
  • Verify subcontract operations as required by the Works Order (WO).
  • Identify and record non-conformances, generate PPQP and FAI reports, and ensure gauge calibration is maintained.
Requirements:
  • Expertise in inspection, with highly competent and experienced skills in gauge and CMM inspection, and the ability to programme CMMs.
  • Decision-making skills to support production and make informed team leader decisions.
  • Prior experience in production inspection within a machine shop environment, ideally gained in aerospace and/or nuclear sectors.
  • Apprentice-trained to a minimum of City and Guilds qualifications, and skilled as a Machine Shop Inspector.
Additional Skills:
  • Keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to perform within time limits and in a critical environment.
  • Logical and methodical approach to tasks.
Role Requirements:
  • Perform any other reasonable tasks as required by the company.
  • Conform to and enforce all Health & Safety legislation and company safety standards.
  • Comply with required security standards and company procedures.
  • Maintain company housekeeping standards.
Key Performance Indicators:
  • On-time Delivery (OTD) for in-process and final inspections as defined on the Works Order (WO).
