Job Description

Recruit 12 is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Assurance Team Lead to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for leading a team of inspection personnel and ensuring the smooth workflow of the Inspection Department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and direct a team of inspection personnel to ensure the quality and efficiency of production processes.
  • Attend planning meetings and provide workflow direction to ensure seamless operations.
  • Train team members in interpreting engineering drawings for inspection purposes using advanced tools such as coordinate measuring machines (CMM) and gauges.
  • Verify subcontract operations as required by the Works Order (WO).
  • Identify and record non-conformances and generate PPQP and FAI reports.
  • Maintain gauge calibration and ensure compliance with company quality standards.
Requirements
  • Expertise in inspection and gauge and CMM inspection with the ability to programme CMMs.
  • Decision-making skills to support production and make informed team leader decisions.
  • Prior experience in production inspection within a machine shop environment, ideally gained in aerospace and/or nuclear sectors.
  • Apprentice-trained to a minimum of City and Guilds qualifications and skilled as a Machine Shop Inspector.
  • Additional skills include a keen eye for detail, ability to perform within time limits, and a logical and methodical approach to tasks.
