About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Specialty Doctor to join our innovative Rehabilitation team in Canterbury, providing psychiatric care to patients referred to the Rehabilitation Service.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide psychiatric care to patients referred to the Rehabilitation Service
  • Ensure effective liaison occurs between mental health services and the acute hospital, and also with other agencies in the voluntary and statutory sectors as appropriate
  • Help deliver a programme of training and education for acute hospital staff and mental health staff
  • Carry out assessments and provide medical recommendations under the Mental Health Act as and when required, and attend Mental Health Tribunal and Manager's meetings
