We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialty Doctor to join our Community CAMHS Learning Disability team in Canterbury, Kent.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a Specialty Doctor to work as part of a multidisciplinary team providing care to children and young people with mental health needs across Kent.
Main Duties- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team providing care to children and young people with mental health needs, across Kent.
- Provide senior medical support to the team, and direct input on clinical cases.
- Provide guidance and supervision to the team.
- Work directly with children and young people and their families and liaise as appropriate with other external CAMHS mental health providers, and acute hospitals.
- Work alongside a full-time CAMHS LD Consultant Psychiatrists within the service.
- Develop links already established with the local acute trusts A&E departments and inpatient wards.
- Offer clinical supervision and teaching to the core trainee on placement.
- Supervise junior colleagues and liaise with other health and social professionals and agencies.
- To be innovative, motivated, and passionate about Child and Adolescent mental health and Learning Disability care.
