Join NELFT NHS Foundation Trust as a Specialty Doctor in Child and Adolescent Mental Health and Learning Disability. We are seeking an experienced and skilled medical professional to lead our team in providing high-quality care to children and young people with mental health needs.

About the Role:

We are looking for a Specialty Doctor who can provide senior medical support to our team, work directly with children and young people, and liaise with other external CAMHS mental health providers and acute hospitals. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of current developments in mental health care and be able to demonstrate their values align with those of NELFT.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team providing care to children and young people with mental health needs.
  • Provide senior medical support to the team and direct input on clinical cases.
  • Develop links with local acute trusts' A&E departments and inpatient wards.
  • Offer clinical supervision and teaching to core trainees on placement.
  • Supervise junior colleagues and liaise with other health and social professionals and agencies.
Requirements:
  • At least 4 years of full-time postgraduate training or equivalent experience and competencies.
  • Strong understanding of current developments in mental health care.
  • Ability to demonstrate values align with those of NELFT.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
