Caring Support Specialist

We are seeking a compassionate and caring individual to join our team as a Residential Support Worker. As a key member of our residential care team, you will play a vital role in supporting the emotional and personal growth of young people aged 8-18 with complex needs.
Your primary responsibility will be to provide high-quality support, promoting independence, social skills, and emotional well-being among our residents. This includes facilitating educational and leisure activities, developing life skills, and maintaining positive relationships within the home.
A full UK driving license is essential for this position, as you will be responsible for transporting young people to external locations. If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of vulnerable children and young people, we encourage you to apply.
About the RoleAs a Residential Support Worker at Aspris Scotland, you will work closely with a dedicated team to create a nurturing environment that fosters growth, development, and happiness. Your tasks may include:
- Supporting daily routines, such as meal preparation, homework assistance, and leisure activities
- Encouraging independence through skill-building and vocational training
- Maintaining accurate records of resident progress and activity participation
To be successful in this role, you should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient and empathetic approach to working with young people. A relevant qualification or experience in childcare or youth work is desirable but not essential. We offer comprehensive training and support to help you achieve your goals.
We estimate a salary of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
