Job Overview:

We are currently seeking a skilled Care Assistant to join our team at Lawnfield House, 5 King Street, Newcastle. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the high-quality care of our residents.

As part of our team, you will assist with daily care tasks, promote independence, and encourage social and recreational activities. You will work closely with our Home Manager and other staff members to deliver exceptional care.

Salary and Benefits:

£11.63 per hour (no NVQ) £11.69 per hour with NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Health and Social Care £11.73 per hour with NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with daily care tasks, such as helping residents with personal care
  • Encourage residents to be as active and independent as possible
  • Accompany residents on outings and ensure their health and safety
  • Administer medication after training
Requirements:
  • Evidence of an understanding of and respect for the needs of older people or those with learning and physical disabilities
  • Awareness of Health and Safety practices within a working environment
  • Ability to undertake relevant training, such as induction training or NVQ/QCF level 2
