As a Senior Research Associate at Newcastle University, you will have the opportunity to work in an exciting interdisciplinary team focused on developing new ways of delivering precision care in diseases that affect older individuals.

This role is an excellent chance to undertake qualitative research that improves our understanding of human behaviours in the context of clinical decision support. You will be located within the Faculty of Medical Sciences and will contribute to the supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate projects and dissertations.

The principal aim of this role is to determine appropriate methodologies for qualitative research and assess research findings to support the development of these investigations. You will also lead on the preparation and submission of applications for ethical approvals and present research findings at conferences and other meetings.

You will be expected to contribute to grant applications, develop your own research objectives and proposals for funding, and participate in public and patient involvement and engagement activities. You will also play an active part in research networks and actively seek out and develop opportunities for interdisciplinary research.

This fixed-term position offers a competitive salary range of £46,485 - £49,250 per annum (pro rata) and is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in qualitative research.
