About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to join our Food Production Team at Absolute Taste. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our production line, ensuring that production targets are met while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and Supervise a Team: You will be responsible for guiding, supervising, and motivating a team of production staff to achieve performance goals and deliver high-quality results.
  • Set Clear Goals and Objectives: You will set clear goals and objectives for the team and individual team members, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Monitor Performance and Productivity: You will monitor team performance and productivity, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Train and Develop Team Members: You will train new team members and provide ongoing coaching and development to existing team members to foster skill development and career growth.
  • Foster a Positive Work Environment: You will foster a positive work environment characterized by open communication, collaboration, and mutual respect.
  • Address Issues and Conflicts: You will address any issues or conflicts within the team in a timely and constructive manner, promoting resolution and maintaining team morale.
  • Ensure Compliance: You will ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulations, and promote adherence to safety standards and best practices.
  • Collaborate with Other Departments: You will collaborate with other departments or teams to achieve cross-functional objectives and deliver integrated solutions.
  • Provide Regular Reports: You will provide regular reports and updates to management on team performance, progress towards goals, and any relevant issues or challenges.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Previous Experience: You will have previous experience in a food production environment, preferably in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Leadership and Team Management Skills: You will have strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and coach team members.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Food Safety Regulations: You will have an understanding of food safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: You will have strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility: You will be flexible to work shifts and weekends as required.
  • Relevant Qualifications: You will have relevant qualifications in food production, manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Computer Literacy: You will have computer literacy, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), experience with production labeling software systems will be an advantage.
