As a key player in our Food Manufacturing sector, we are seeking a dedicated Production Supervisor to provide leadership and support to our production team at the Fresh Kitchen (Sysco) facility in Bicester. This role involves a hands-on approach to production operations, ensuring compliance and operational excellence.
The Production Supervisor will engage in a variety of tasks, demonstrating high standards and leading by example. You will leverage your prior experience in food production to uphold food safety regulations, HACCP, and BRC standards consistently. This dynamic role not only focuses on delivering exceptional service but also on fostering a positive and safe work environment for all team members.
This position requires interaction with both internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be proactive in addressing daily inquiries and will escalate issues to the technical and operations managers as necessary. You will also assist the leadership team with product trials, organoleptic assessments, and microbiological evaluations, contributing to the development of innovative product lines.
To excel in this role, you should be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and possess strong observational skills. Success hinges on your ability to maintain accuracy and clarity while adopting a solutions-oriented approach. Your product knowledge will be essential in ensuring compliance with specifications aligned with production plans, customer needs, and food safety regulations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with IT proficiency, are necessary for generating regular production data and performance reports to support business management and product costing initiatives.
