Nursing Home Manager Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Nursing Home Manager to lead our 60-bed nursing home, providing exceptional care and accommodation to elderly individuals.

Following a recent improvement plan, our home has made significant strides in quality of care and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proven experience in managing a similar-sized nursing home or a large care team in a similar setting.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and standards, including CIW and Welsh Government regulations.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including CIW, Local Authorities, Local Health Boards, residents, families, and carers.
  • Experience in business planning, risk management, budgeting, financial planning, and resource allocation.
  • Staff management, including recruitment, training, development, and performance management.
  • RGN / RMN Qualified.
  • QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care or NVQ level 4 in Management in Care.
