About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Care Officer to join our Children's Homes team at Hull City Council. As a Senior Care Officer, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to children in our care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and guidance to care staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and support to children.
  • Develop and implement care plans that meet the individual needs of children, in collaboration with other professionals.
  • Conduct regular reviews and assessments to ensure the effectiveness of care plans and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Work closely with other agencies and professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for children.
  • Supervise and support care staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant qualification in social work or a related field.
  • Experience of working with children and young people in a care setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and build strong relationships with colleagues and other professionals.
  • Knowledge of child development and the needs of children in care.
