About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Care Officer to join our Children's Homes team at Hull City Council.

As a Senior Care Officer, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to children in our care. You will work closely with the Home Manager and other team members to ensure that the needs of the children are met and that they receive the best possible care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide advice, support, and guidance on care plans and programmes
  • Engage in new developments and motivate staff to provide positive direction
  • Supervise and support staff in the day-to-day running of the Home
  • Work with children to promote their wellbeing and development

We are looking for someone who is passionate about working with children and has a strong commitment to providing high-quality care. You will need to have a supportive and enabling approach, be able to engage with new developments, and motivate staff to provide positive direction.

Hours of work are 74 hours per month, and may exceed 20 hours per week at times due to the rota. This is a Fixed Term Vacancy for up to 18 months to cover a secondment.
