We are working with a leading investment bank in London to strengthen their structured commodity finance business with an Oil Origination Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to join their team and contribute to the growth of their business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Originate, build, and develop client relationships for structured commodity and oil financing opportunities, including physical financing, structured repo, and structured trading.
  • Collaborate closely with the team and clients to structure bespoke solutions that meet their unique needs.
  • Provide working capital for trade opportunities, including flow and structured deals.
  • Utilize strong commercial skills and industry knowledge to onboard clients across the EMEA region, including Trading Houses, Refineries, and other key players.
  • Identify market trends and opportunities to drive business growth and increase revenue.
  • Report to the Head of EMEA Oil, providing regular updates and insights on market developments.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in a similar role as an originator within the oil markets, focused on structured finance solutions. Candidates at VP and Director level are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong industry knowledge within EMEA oil, including crude and products, with exceptional origination, business development, and relationship-building skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding of structured commodity financing and its applications.
  • An established network and client base within the commodities industry is highly desirable.
  • Located in the UK or willing to relocate for the right opportunity.
