Job Title: Light-Ends Oil Trader

PVM Oil Associates Ltd is seeking a skilled Light-Ends Oil Trader to join their London desk. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for broking Light Ends contracts, including Naphtha or EBOB, and servicing customers in these markets to generate revenue.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Promote PVM Oil Associates Ltd and its services to existing and potential clients.
  • Maintain and develop existing client relationships, identifying new business opportunities and trends in the market.
  • Stay up-to-date with market developments, products, and clients, actively soliciting feedback from industry participants.
  • On-board new clients following the correct process with the Client On-Boarding team.
  • Assess client needs and financial conditions to identify internal cross-selling opportunities.
  • Understand pertinent regulation within the evolving regulatory landscape.
  • Support a risk and compliance-aware culture and comply with group policies.
  • Exercise independent judgment and act with integrity, care, skill, and diligence to avoid conflicts of interest and escalate issues as appropriate.
Requirements:
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, willing to be part of a team breaking new ground into established markets and gaining market share.
  • Experience in broking commodities, preferably oil.
  • Understanding of the asset class oil broking.
  • Exceptional client focus and delivery skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment, keeping emotions under control in difficult situations.
  • Constructively handle disagreements to reach a resolution.
  • Work ethically and show respect for both professional and company values.
  • Understand ideas and have a viewpoint on the markets and economy.
  • Build relationships and networks with both internally and externally wherever possible.
