About the Role
West London NHS Trust is seeking a Senior Forensic Consultant Psychiatrist to join its team. As a leading provider of mental health and physical healthcare services, we offer a unique opportunity for experienced professionals to make a meaningful impact.
Job Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients on Lea ward, an 18-bedded medium secure male rehabilitation ward. This includes assessing patients, providing clinical leadership, and working closely with local psychiatric services and other agencies.
Key Responsibilities
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Ambitious goals aligned with our vision to deliver exceptional patient care
- Experience working in forensic psychiatry, with expertise in assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
- The capacity to maintain Approved Clinician status or achieve it within three months of appointment
- Full registration with the GMC and good standing regarding warning and conditions on practice
- Able to meet duties under MHA and MCA
- Continuous professional development and the ability to appraise clinical evidence
- Participation in clinical audit and quality improvement programmes

Salary and Benefits
We are offering a competitive salary of approximately £105,000 per annum, reflecting the senior nature of this role.
