Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Specialist Community Forensic Team in the North West Boroughs Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.

About the Role

The successful candidate will provide high-quality psychiatric services to individuals with learning disabilities and forensic needs, ensuring their care is comprehensive, proactive, and patient-centered.

Main Responsibilities
  • Fulfilling the role of Community Responsible Clinician for patients accepted into the service
  • Providing outpatient clinics, community visits, and home visits
  • Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings, risk reviews, and providing clinical leadership
Requirements
  • Knowledge and experience in assessing and treating individuals with learning disability and autism
  • Treating individuals with forensic needs
  • Ability to appraise own performance as a consultant
  • Excellent clinical skills using bio-psycho-social perspective and wide medical knowledge
  • Valid UK driving license or alternative transport arrangements

Salary and Benefits

This post comes with an attractive salary range of £110,000 - £143,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus additional benefits, including pension scheme, annual leave entitlement, and training opportunities.
