About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Geriatric Medicine Consultant to join our team at Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Ageing and Complex Medicine Directorate, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to our elderly patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive geriatric medicine services to patients, including acute and chronic care.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
  • Contribute to the development of Acute Medical services within the trust.
  • Participate in teaching and training junior medical staff and other healthcare professionals.
Requirements
  • CCT in Geriatric Medicine or equivalent.
  • Recent comprehensive experience in Geriatric Medicine.
  • Commitment to training and teaching junior medical staff and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work in a flexible manner.
